Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met Manfred Profazi, Chief of the International Organization for Migration Mission in Ukraine.
In the course of the working meting the Parties discussed the problems in the sphere of the migration situation in Ukraine. In particular, M. Tomenko informed that the migration streams are constantly increasing in Ukraine hence it is high time the central executive bodies were reformed for the maximum concentration of the emigrational functions. Due to the different obstacles it was only the year 2009 the Cabinet of Ministers formed the State Migration Service. Though, it needs complete reorganization for the normal functioning.
Mykola Tomenko emphasised that as the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine who is in charge of these issues, he insists on the fact that the Government is obliged to provide the immediate activity of the service and the Parliament is supposed to regulate the issue on status of this executive power body.
The Parties agreed the possibility of the conduction of the international conference in the result of the concluded treaty of readmission with EU in the context of facilitation of the signing of the relevant treaties on readmission with Russian Federation first of all and also with the most problematic countries regarding this matter (India, Pakistan, and China). One more issue was discussed that envisages the assistance in the advancement of the principles presupposed by the Treaty on simplification of visa regime that would provide visa-free regime with EU in future.
